MPS Information Library Media Programs are the foundation behind student learning.

Each School Library Media Program staffed by a licensed media specialist will work to ensure that students:

• Access a strong and diverse collection of resources

• Acquire a love of reading

• Create products using research skills and modern technology

• Learn from teachers who collaborate with Library Media Specialists to enrich teaching

• Learn from teachers who are trained in 21st Century Skills

Each School Library Media Program staffed by a licensed media specialist will ensure that students and families will be informed of:

• MPS National Library Standards
• MPS Student Learning Targets
• MPS Site Applications
• Importance of School Libraries
• Importance of Reading and Reading Aloud
